As a follow up of the Nirbhaya Movement, the Government of India has issued an official order to install Vehicle Tracking Device & Emergency Alert System to all passenger Carrying Vehicles except 2-wheeler taxi and Autorickshaws. On 15th Sept, 2023 at 11:30 AM, the hon'ble Minister of Transport, Mr. T.J. Lalnuntluanga had inaugurated the Command & Control Centre to monitor the VLTD & EAS 24/7 and the Directorate of Transport Mizoram and also lay the foundation of Inland Water Transport at Khawthlangtuipui.
